About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Ashni Melissa Mary Prabhu, based in India, who runs Pocket Ellie at pocketellie.social. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

What Pocket Ellie is

Pocket Ellie is a private, personal memory app. You dictate or type notes about people you meet, AI sorts them into cards, and you can review cards, search, take quizzes and get conversation nudges. It has no social features and nothing is ever sent to the people you write about.

Your account and PIN

You must be 18 or older. Give a real email address, keep your password and PIN secret, and tell us at humanresourcesviber@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Pocket Ellie for anything unlawful, harassing, stalking, threatening or discriminatory;
• store sensitive information about other people (such as health, religion, caste, sexuality or finances) that you have no right to keep;
• use it to make hiring or other decisions based on protected characteristics such as gender, caste, religion, age, disability or ethnicity;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the app's limits or security.

You are responsible for the notes you save and for following privacy laws that apply to you. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Plans and payment

• The Free plan has usage limits: 10 people, 15 dictations per month and one quiz per day.
• Pro and Student are a one-time lifetime purchase: you pay once and get those features for as long as Pocket Ellie is offered. It is not a subscription and never renews.
• The Student plan needs a genuine college or university email address that belongs to you. We may move misused Student purchases to Free.
• Dodo Payments is our merchant of record. It sells and processes the purchase, and its terms apply to the payment.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Your content

Your notes stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run the app for you, including sending transcripts to our AI provider for sorting.

Provided as-is

We work hard to keep Ellie running, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-sorted facts, dates and starters can be wrong or misfiled, so check anything important. Don't rely on Pocket Ellie as your only copy of something you can't lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Ending things

Download your data or delete your account any time in Settings → Your data, free on every plan. Deletion is permanent, so download anything you want to keep first. Deleting your account does not automatically refund a purchase; see our Refund Policy. We retain only minimal accounting purchase records as explained in our Privacy Policy. If you need help, email humanresourcesviber@gmail.com. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can download your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and give notice in the app or by email for important changes. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in India have jurisdiction.
